What insurances are accepted?

We work with every form of insurance including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurances, and self pay. A detailed list of accepted insurances is available for review and can be downloaded from the RMSC Forms below.

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with New West Physicians group. Effective September 1, 2018,  we will be accepting New West health plans as a payer source.

What can you expect on your first visit?

We initiate both care and a lasting relationship based on trust and respect on your initial visit with Rocky Mountain Senior Care. We will gather demographic information, listen to you describe your health history, assess any urgent medical issues, and provide necessary prescriptions.

How often would you be seen after the first visit?

This completely depends on the patient their care concerns. Generally, we schedule visits monthly or weekly, as recommended by the patient, family, and the community wellness staff. We will address acute issues or follow up visits on an as needed basis.

Who will preform your care visits?

Depending on the level of care you require and your specific community, you may be seen by a Nurse Practitioner (NP), a Physician’s Assistant (PA), a Physician (MD/DO), or a combination of these providers. If you are scheduled to be seen by a non-physician provider, please know that they do have access to physicians and will schedule a physician visit if it is medically necessary or upon request.

What if you need care after hours?

We have a clinical team available 24/7 to triage any after-hours concerns including nights and weekends. Our medical records are all stored electronically so our triage team and on-call providers all have access to the most up to date records available.

What if you need additional testing?

We partner with all of the major mobile imaging and laboratory providers. These services are ordered promptly and subsequent treatments or testing can be initiated all without a visit to the ER. This process helps prevent unnecessary hospitalizations, therefore reducing the stress and cost burden to our patients.

We provide care within a complex system that is often challenging and frustrating to navigate.  The only way through is to extend kindness and compassion to everyone in it.   – Elane Shirar, MD – Founder and Medical Director
